This year’s FIFA Club World Cup will kick off in Qatar on 11 December, with the champions being crowned on 21 December.
In its current format featuring seven teams, the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019™ will consist of eight matches.
The Oceania representative to the tournament is Hienghène Sport, a New Caledonian football team from Hienghène region playing in the New Caledonia Super Ligue.
In 2019, they became continental champions for the first time, subsequently becoming the first club from New Caledonia and second Oceanian club not from Australia or New Zealand, to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup.
