Galaxy FC have beaten national champions Ifira Black Bird in their first PVFA Super League match on Saturday 19 October. Coach Robert Yalou’s team were reduced to ten men after striker Jordy Tassip was shown the red card for intentionally kicking the ball into the Galaxy FC bench.
After a 1 all draw first 45 minutes of play, Coach Eiego Maximo’s Galaxy FC scored the only goal in the second half to secure their first win in the first Super League match.
There were three super league matches played at the VFF Stadium. In the other two matches two Mele Village home teams Tupuji Imere and Mauriki FC drew 1 all, while North Efate Utd outscored Naka FC 4 – 1 in the last match of the day.
