Sunday 9 April 2023 – The Bank of the South Pacific (BSP) has once again stepped forward as proud sponsors of the national Futsal Gideon’s Team, who are set to compete in the inaugural Melanesian Futsal Cup Tournament hosted by Fiji.
Coach Ben Hungai, the head coach of the national Futsal Team, expressed his gratitude towards BSP for their support. This marks the second time BSP has sponsored the team, previously supporting their participation in the 2022 OFC Futsal Cup held in Fiji.
“On behalf of the team, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation to BSP’s management and staff for their continued support towards our talented futsal players. We hope to continue this partnership for years to come,” Coach Ben stated.
A delegation comprising twelve players and six officials will proudly represent Vanuatu in the prestigious Melanesian Futsal Cup tournament, commencing at the Suva Vodafone Arena on Wednesday 12 April.
Five members of the team have already traveled to Suva on Saturday, while the remaining players and officials will depart for Fiji on Monday 10 April, according to Coach Ben.
The national Futsal Gideon’s Team aims to showcase their skills and make their country proud in this exciting tournament.
