VFF Head Coach Etienne Mermer is encouraging the national senior men’s team to stay positive and focused on the mission ahead of them.
“We all aware of the short time we have in putting together our team, so there is no room for doubting your presence on our team, or developing negative thoughts”, Coach Mermer points out.
“I have confidence in you all, and I encourage you to believe in yourselves – the skills and abilities you have developed over the years, in all categories of our game.”
“Also, you have played our neighboring countries on several occasions and events already; so let’s stay focused”.
Vanuatu will play Fiji national team in the second match of Day 1 of the 2023 Tri-Nations Friendship Cup Tournament on Monday 20 March.
Solomon Islands will play the Fiji U20 team in the opening match at 2pm, and Vanuatu play Fiji at 5pm, Fiji time.
