Exciting football actions from Port Vila League’s Anniversary tournament

Another exciting round of actions from the Port Vila football league’s 40th Anniversary tournament took place over the weekend at the Municipal Stadium.

Ifira Black Bird drew with Erakor Golden Star 2-2 in the opening game. The strongly contested game saw both sides playing well to their game structures with strong attacking line and ruthless defence as they were both hungry for a win.

Junior Daniel and Jean Kaltack scored two goals for Erakor while Tensly Kalopong and Sam Kalter scored for Ifira.

The stadium was crowded with fans from the two teams as they came out in numbers to support their respective teams after missing football actions almost four months after COVID-19 lockdown.

The final match of the day saw Tafea beat Tupuji Imere 2-1, Everesto Kapalu and Waiwo Kalmet scored two goals for Tafea while Tupuji’s lone goal was scored by Mackensi Malapa.
