Freswota Football Stadium design unveiled

The design for the Freswota Football Stadium was released this week after thorough review between Vanuatu Football Federation, FIFA and Qualao Consulting architects.

Vanuatu football said the new Freswota Stadium is an important infrastructure that will help generate revenue for local clubs and players playing in any future professional league.

The first and second phase of the project were completed and it involved preparation of the terrain.

The field has been planted with sports oval grass mix imported from Australia and is surrounded on all sides by drainage trenches to ensure a good playing experience in wet weather conditions.

The project is composed of a grand stand, ticket house, tool shed and two spectator stand with all architectural design done by Qualao Consulting Limited.

The final component of the stadium will also include lights to allow for the playing of night matches.

Vanuatu football also revealed that the new stadium will also be equipped with the state of the art technology and will make the experience exiting for everyone.

The project is funded by FIFA and is worth over 400 million vatu and will be completed by 2022.
