The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) national playoffs second leg competition will take place 2pm today at the Korman Stadium between the country’s defending champion, Galaxy FC and Ruerue FC.
Galaxy FC is looking forward to another year of competition after COVID-19 affected competitions back in 2019. Malampa Reviviors United FC were also through into the competitions however were toppled over by newcomer Ruerue FC in the latest VFF national championships in Luganivlle, Santo is determined in making history as well by participating at the OFC championship.
Both teams qualified on merit for the OFC championships but with the COVID-19 pandemic affecting normal operations, OFC has decided for each OFC member associations to have qualified teams get into a national playoff and have only one representative into the final’s tournament.
The first leg competition saw both teams drew 0-0 full time. The second leg competition will be exciting as both teams strive to get into the score sheet, more importantly grabbing a spot in the OFC championship.
