Ifira Black Birds (IBB) Head Coach Jean Robert Yalou is anticipating a tough encounter as his team faces Group B leaders AS Pirae on Thursday 18 May.
Coach Yalou acknowledges the importance of a victory to revive their chances of advancing to the second rounds of the OFC Champions League. However, he also recognizes Pirae’s desire to maintain their lead in the group.
In their first Group B match on Monday 15 May, Ifira BB suffered a 0-2 defeat against Hekari United. Meanwhile, AS Pirae secured a convincing 3-0 win over Tiga Sports on the same day.
On Group B Day 2, which takes place on Thursday 18 May, Tiga Sports will go head-to-head with Hekari at 12pm (Vanuatu time), followed by the clash between Ifira and Pirae at 3pm.
All eyes will be on Ifira as they strive to bounce back and secure a positive result against the formidable AS Pirae team.
