Jason Thomas named Vanuatu captain

Jason Thomas is named captain of Vanuatu squad playing Solomon Islands national team on Monday 18th March in an international friendly game.

Thomas will lead lead a vibrant young team of mostly 2017 U-20 playing some of the Solomon Islands experienced players caotianed by Benjamin Totori.

In a press conference this morning the Vanuatu captain reaffirms his trust on his players and believes the training under new coach Paul Munster will help them play a good game in the FIFA sanctioned match.

“We are ready to play”, he said opening his remarks when addressing the media.

Coach Munster believes Jason can be a good mediator between him and the players after a hard thought before he made the decision this morning.

Jason Thomas plays as a defender for Erakor Golden Star and he made his debut for the national team in November 2015 in their 1–1 draw with Fiji.
