VFF President, and OFC President Lambert Maltock has said that he would use his experience in the past four years as Head of Oceania Football, to excel football to new heights.
Thanking his colleague federation and association Presidents from Oceania who voted unanimously for him to continue as OFC President for a second term, Mr. Maltock said he felt humbled by their confidence in his leadership.
Maltock said in fact he’s been given “a responsibility for another four year term to serve you, serve our football associations, our football clubs, our football players, our football fans and the 17 million we represent in Oceania region.”
“With honour and respect to you all, I would like to confide my personal heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the entire Oceania football family for supporting and nominating me and pledging your humble trust and vote for me to lead Oceania for the next 4 years.”
“I want to assure you all that I am ready to embark on new challenging journey and mission to drive and try with all my best abilities and football knowledge to bring Oceania Football to greater heights in the next 4 years and beyond”, Maltok said.
Reflecting back on his first four-year term, Mr. Maltock said; “I want to say simply that the last 4 years has been truly a great experience, and it gave me a strong confidence more than ever before. The little light at the end of the tunnel for Oceania football and its future, as I saw before, is becoming brighter and brighter and closer and closer”.
Maltock also said he would like to see professionalism in all aspects of football in Oceania in the next four years.
He says he believes Oceania is ready for a professional league.
