Paul Munster is VFF new National Head Coach

Vanuatu Football Federation has a new National Head Coach and he is Paul Munster a born Irish with Swedish citizenship.

Paul holds a 2018 UEFA Pro Licence and has elevated from a UEFA A Licence in 2016 and B Licence in 2013, and has impressed VFF with his achievements.

It has taken a few months for VFF to decide on the new coach and finally he arrives in Port Vila last weekend.

Paul started his career as Technical Director for Soccer Doon Soccer Group in Canada in 2002 and 2012 he was head coach for Orebro Assyriska FC in Sweden’s division 4 and he moved up to division 3 and U-19, and by 2014 he was coaching BK Forward in division 1 before moving to Minerva Punjab FC in India as Technical Director and Head Coach.

During his career, he achieved winning the Punjab Super League with Minerva Punjab for the first time in the club’s history and will participate in the 2019 AFC Champions League qualifying round, after winning the I-League in 2017/18 season.

He has impressively won the U-19 Swedish Cup in 2017 with Örebro SK U-19s and some of the players have progressed to clubs in higher leagues and several have entered their national teams.

Paul Munster will oversee all related national team tasks from today on with assistance from the local coaches and VFF Technical Director.

His immediate role will be to prepare the National U-23 team towards the Olympic Games and also the National Team for 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.
