SCHMELING HIGHLIGHTS COOPERATION FOR VANUATU FUTSAL SUCCESS

Juliano Schmeling, the OFC Futsal Instructor, commended the positive and impressive progress of Vanuatu Futsal, attributing it to the cooperative and collaborative approach between Vanuatu Futsal and VFF leadership.

During the presentation ceremony of the Second Placing trophy of the Melanesian Futsal Cup at VFF Haus in Port Vila on Monday evening, Schmeling, a Brazilian OFC Instructor, expressed his observations and encouragement to the team.

“I have never witnessed such an act, where a national team returns to hand over their trophy to the leadership and engages in a conversation with the executive members. This sets a strong foundation for your development program… I strongly encourage you to continue fostering this positive approach, as with a solid cooperation between all parties involved in your futsal development, I can envision Vanuatu futsal reaching new heights,” Schmeling stated.

Having previously spent three years in the Solomon Islands working on futsal development with the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF), Schmeling accompanied the Kurukurus to the FIFA Futsal World Cup. He now serves as an OFC Futsal Instructor.

Schmeling is currently in Port Vila conducting the Senior Futsal C License Course for futsal coaches. The course commenced on Monday at the Wan Smolbag center in Tagabe and is scheduled to conclude over the weekend.
