SUCCESSFUL TRIAL PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS VFF’S COMMITMENT TO WOMEN’S FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT

On Friday, March 31, a trial program was conducted by the VFF Women’s Department, with the assistance of the VFF Technical Department, at the Korman Stadium in Port Vila.

Several schools responded to the invitations sent to schools in and around Port Vila, resulting in at least four teams participating in the program.

While the organizers continue to scout for potential players to join the program in the upcoming weeks, they have already identified a few girls from the trial matches. These girls will soon commence training for the national U16 team.

The trial program exemplifies the VFF’s dedication to developing women’s football in the country and introducing their development programs to schools.

Ms. Julia King, the Third Speaker of Parliament and former leader in Women’s Football Development, was present at the Korman Stadium to assist in distributing prizes and awards at the conclusion of the program. Additionally, Paul and Mike, visiting officials from OFC, attended the event to witness the program firsthand.
