On November 30th, VFF hosted a Talent Identification Event at Freshwater Stadium to identify candidates for next year’s Talent Development Scheme (TDS) in the U16 and U14 age groups. The event gathered around 120 boys and girls, with boys born between 2009 and 2012 and girls born between 2012 and 2013 participating in the selection process.
The participants were divided into four age-based groups and competed in match-style games. After this initial round, approximately 40 standout players were selected to form four teams and played in two additional matches.
Final selections will be made from these 40 players, who will be contacted early next year. The selected players will officially join the TDS program in late January to begin their development journey. Unfortunately, the event for girls was canceled due to insufficient participation.
