Tiga Sports showcased their resilience as they bounced back from their previous defeat to secure a surprising 1-0 victory over former OFC champions Hekari United in their second Group B match at the Fresh Water VFF Stadium in Port Vila.
After suffering a heavy loss in their first group match, where they were defeated 0-3 by AS Pirae on Monday 15 May, the Caledonian team displayed determination and perseverance. They thrilled their local fans by scoring the lone goal of the match in the second half, sealing their triumph over Hekari United.
While Hekari emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against Ifira Black Birds in their first group match on Monday, fortune did not favor them today.
The outcome of the first match has now opened up opportunities for all four teams in Group B.
