Tupuji Imere FC upset Ifira Black Bird 3-1 today in the PVFA Premier League 2016.
Ifira needs a draw to make it through to top four but failed to beat neighbor Tupuji Imere this afternoon.
Tupuji striker, Rodney Serveux was the hero of the match after he netted two goals and one from Leo Moli.
Ifira’s only goal came from Jean Pierre from the penalty spot.
Referee George Bruce sent off Ifira striker, Danstan Quanafia and Tupuji Imere striker Leo Moli after both players involved in a fight in the second half.
The win puts Tupuji Imere still fifth on the ladder but now have 26 points , one behind fourth place Ifira Black Bird with one match to play against Erakor Golden Star this Saturday.
Ifira Black Bird are still fourth on the ladder with 27 points also with one match to play against Tafea on Saturday.
A win for Ifira against Tafea on Saturday will see them through to the Top Four competition.
If they lose or draw with Tafea, then they have to wait for the result between Tupuji Imere and Erakor Golden Star at 3pm this Saturday.
If Ifira Black Bird lose or draw and Tupuji Imere beat Erakor, then Tupuji Imere will qualify for the Top Four.
