The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF), the governing body of football in Vanuatu, is committed to developing and advancing the game across all levels of the country. As part of our continued investment in youth development and the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS), we are seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to take on a key role in shaping the next generation of football talent.
Position Title: Head Coach – Boys U14 TDS Program (Full-Time)
Department: VFF Technical Department
Reports to: Technical Director
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
The Head Coach – Boys U14 TDS Program will be responsible for the daily planning, delivery, and evaluation of training sessions in alignment with the methodology established by the FIFA Talent Coach. This position plays a vital role in identifying, nurturing, and developing young footballers with the potential to become the future stars of Vanuatu.
The successful candidate will work closely with the FIFA Talent Coach, VFF technical staff, and partner stakeholders to ensure that the U14 program is conducted at the highest professional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and assess daily training sessions following the FIFA Talent Coach methodology.
- Maintain effective communication with the FIFA Talent Coach, academy staff, players, and other VFF coaches.
- Create and monitor Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for top players, updating them at least three times per year.
- Collaborate with medical staff, psychologists, and other professionals to support player well-being and performance.
- Record and report training sessions and match information daily through SoccerLab.
- Prepare and implement match strategies, and provide video analysis and feedback for both team and individual improvement.
- Participate in Talent ID Events in Port Vila and travel to other Member Associations as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Genuine passion for football and a strong desire to develop the next generation of Vanuatu players.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for reporting and video analysis (mandatory).
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth as a coach.
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse and multicultural environment.
- Understanding of football culture in Vanuatu and the Pacific region.
- Experience coaching youth teams or managing football development programs is an advantage.
