The Vanuatu Football Federation (VFF), the governing body of football in Vanuatu, is committed to the growth and advancement of the game at all levels. As part of our ongoing efforts within the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS), we are seeking a passionate and qualified coach to lead the Girls U14 TDS Program.
This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the development of young female footballers in Vanuatu. The successful candidate will play a key role in coaching and mentoring the next generation of girls’ football talent.
Position Title: Head Coach – Girls U14 TDS Program (Part-Time)
Department: VFF Technical Department
Reports to: Technical Director
Working Hours: 10 hours per week
About the Role
The Head Coach – Girls U14 TDS Program will be responsible for planning and delivering training sessions twice per week, following the methodology and philosophy of the FIFA Talent Coach. The role focuses on nurturing young female players, supporting their technical, tactical, and personal development, and aligning with the broader objectives of the TDS Program.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and review training sessions twice per week based on the FIFA Talent Coach methodology.
- Maintain open communication with the FIFA Talent Coach, players, academy staff, and other coaches within VFF.
- Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for top players and review them at least three times per year.
- Collaborate with medical staff, psychologists, and other specialists to enhance player well-being.
- Record training and match reports using SoccerLab.
- Prepare match plans, conduct video analysis, and create clips for team and individual review.
- Participate in Talent ID Events in Port Vila and other Member Associations as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong motivation and passion for football, with a focus on developing young female players.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for reporting and video analysis (mandatory).
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and continue developing as a professional coach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Understanding of football culture in Vanuatu and the Pacific region.
- Previous experience coaching youth teams or managing football programs is desirable.
