The official friendly match against Fiji did not take place as initially planned, however, both coaching teams agreed to use the occasion as a training match to test out their sides at the Qatar university training ground.
Vanuatu and Fiji were able to use the opportunity to assess the capacity of their teams and allow all players to play.
Both teams are preparing for their first matches on the 17th March 2020.
The Vanuatu side now has an opportunity to reassess their plan towards the first match with the inclusion of Mitch Cooper and Jared Clark who featured in the training session yesterday.
Brian Kaltak will join the team tomorrow.
The next friendly is against a local team from Qatar on Tuesday next week.
