Vanuatu Futsal team is adamant for a positive outcome in the OFC Futsal Nation Cup which will be held in Noumea, New Caledonia from October 28 to November 3.
Head Coach Jean Noel said his new and young team has prepared well and will be in top form come Noumea.
“ The team is preparing well and most of the players are new and young and also most of the players were already in the existing programme.
“Come the date of the competition the players will be ready to participate and will be in their top form,” Noel said.
The OFC Nations Cup will be the direct qualifier for the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania in the Baltic region of Europe.
Bolstering the Vanuatu side would be the Vanuatu U23 duo who had just returned from the OFC Olympic qualifiers in Fiji forward Azariah Soromon and midfielder Ronaldo Wilkins.
The team has also got in the services of Joshua Smith from Australia who will also be guiding the team and will assist with game plan and strategies. Smith arrived into the country earlier this week on Monday.
Vanuatu plays their opening match against host New Caledonia on October 28.
