After their recent victory against Samoa, the Vanuatu national football team has resumed intense training sessions at Fresh Water Stadium every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifier in New Zealand in November. Friday sessions are optional as the domestic league remains a priority.
Despite the rain, the players gathered for a session on October 16th. They continued with passing, shooting drills, and other exercises for about two hours.
In addition to field practice, the team members dedicate time to strength and conditioning sessions at the gym every Tuesday and Thursday to maintain peak physical fitness.
Head Coach Juliano Schmeling stated, “We only have three weeks left until the next match, so we’re working hard to ensure our players are in the best possible condition for the challenge ahead.”
As the clock ticks down to the New Zealand game, the Vanuatu team is determined to maintain their momentum and deliver another strong performance on the international stage.
