The national team members have been practicing every day this week. On November 7, 19 players gathered for an intense two-hour training session at Freshwater Stadium. They also train in the gym in the mornings. This week marks the final push, and the team is putting in much effort. They will continue practicing in Port Vila until Saturday morning before leaving for New Zealand on Monday, November 11.
During an interview, Bong Kalo was asked how he felt when he scored in the last match. “I was just happy,” he shared. It was his first goal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
When asked about his thoughts on the upcoming match against New Zealand on November 15, he responded confidently, “Yes, I’m preparing well. I’m ready.”
He was also questioned about the support from fans and whether he had a message for them. He said, “Support us from Vanuatu; your support gives us power. And for those working in New Zealand, please come to the game and cheer us on!”
