Following their participation in the OFC U-19 Championship tournament, the Vanuatu U-19 girls’ team embarked on an educational field trip and careers talk with the renowned Pacific Flying School in Fiji.
Established in 1986, the Pacific Flying School has an illustrious history, having produced over 200 Commercial Pilots who now hold significant positions in various local airlines and major regional and international carriers. Notable airlines include Air Vanuatu, Airlines of Papua New Guinea, Air Niugini, Air New Zealand, Emirates, Qantas, Cathy Pacific, Etihad, British Airways, and many other high-profile carriers. Additionally, the school is a primary supplier of pilots for Fiji Airways, Fiji’s national carrier, and domestic operators within Fiji.
For the U-19 girls from Vanuatu, this field trip presented an invaluable educational program, providing them with new learning experiences outside the confines of their classrooms. It offered a unique opportunity to witness firsthand where pilots and aircraft engineers are trained, inspiring them to consider diverse career paths in the aviation industry.

The experience gained during this field trip will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on their educational journey and future ambitions.
