In their first game of the OFC U15 Youth Development Tournament in Auckland, the Vanuatu U15s team played to a 1-1 draw against their fellow Melanesian rivals, Fiji.
Following the tournament’s format, a draw in the match led to a penalty shootout. Vanuatu scored 4 goals in the shootout, while Fiji managed to score 3.
With this result, Fiji has played a total of three matches, winning one, losing one, and drawing one. Vanuatu’s next match is scheduled against Tahiti on Tuesday 18 April.
