VFF AND OFC COLLABORATE WITH AIR VANUATU TO ENHANCE TOURNAMENT TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

VFF and OFC President Lambert Maltock, along with the OFC Champions League Local Organizing Committee (LOC) in Port Vila, held a productive meeting with Air Vanuatu CEO Mr. Joseph Laloyer at the Air Vanuatu office this morning. The meeting primarily focused on the transportation arrangements for the Group A teams during the upcoming tournament in Luganville in May.

During the meeting, all four teams’ bookings, both international and domestic, were confirmed, ensuring a smooth travel experience for the participating teams and officials. It was agreed upon that Air Vanuatu would coordinate charter flights to facilitate synchronized travel for the teams.

In addition to discussing the logistical aspects of the tournament, the meeting also explored the potential for a partnership between VFF and Air Vanuatu. President Maltock highlighted the significant portion of the football development budget in Oceania countries allocated to travel expenses, with a considerable portion of those travels being conducted by air.

“In fact, seventy percent of the football development budget in Oceania countries goes towards traveling, and a substantial part of that involves air travel,” stated President Maltock.

Air Vanuatu CEO Joseph Laloyer expressed his willingness to further discuss and formalize a partnership agreement with VFF following the conclusion of the OFC Champions League in May. The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between the two entities and potentially offer mutual benefits.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with all parties expressing satisfaction with the discussions held and the progress made. The forthcoming partnership agreement between VFF and Air Vanuatu holds the promise of enhancing football development in the region while ensuring efficient and seamless travel arrangements for future tournaments and events.
