Torba’s Rexly Butakol acclaimed the Best Player and Anelka Avril the Best Goalkeeper award of the 2019 National Youth League Championship.

Ishmael Akirio from Sanma collected the Best MU15 player award Henriette Sangnul in Luganville was the Best WU17 and also collected the TVL Sponsored Award.

Tafea’s Sonia Naupisa got the Best WU15 and the Best Women Goalkeeper award was collected by Noeline John from Shefa.

Simon Richard the OFC Adviser to VFF speaks highly of the tournament.

“Now that I’ve seen the eight provinces played, supposedly the best team in each province, I’ve ended up saying I would really enjoy coaching anyone of those team for a year and come back and play that tournament”, he admitted.

The tournament has some historical relevance on how twenty years after leaving mark on the game, the next generation of players and officials are coming through.
